So...I have gotten, either buying them myself, or through gifts...the following items:

From Mike:  BFG - NVidia GeForce 9800 GTX+

Samsung 2233SW 22 inch widescreen LCD monitor

Seagate 750 gig SATA drive

Battery back up for the desktop - a weak one, just want it to stop the thing from rebooting whenever the power flickers, which is more often than it aught to be (ComEd sucks).

And...lastly...I was going to get the power supply Mike used with the 9800, but...when we tested it, it didn't work...at all.  So, in fear that things were royally messed up, I set everything back up how it had been, when I got home, and it worked fine.  So.  Mike's power supply somehow died.  I ordered a new one online.

In the mean time, I'm using my old 350 watt supple.  So...I don't have a power supply with a SATA hook up for my new HD...and I don't have enough power to run the 9800...and I don't want to bother using the new monitor, if I'm not going to be able to run anything even close to native resolution...

In short...I have lots of awesome stuff...and I can't use any of it...don't feel bad for me, though...I got lots of stuff and I'll have it working soon.  :P

If you had to give up either chocolate or your mobile phone forever, which would you sacrifice?

Chocolate.  I eat it on rare occasion, and generally less and less as time goes by, I'm finding.  And....I use my phone at least several times a day.

Subject:Christmas Update
Security:Public

Some of you may know this, but Thursday night is Christmas Eve.  But, fear not, I will be doing my show!  Don't feel bad if you've family things to do and can't listen; I just wan't to let everyone know that I will be broadcasting, if you care to listen.

I have some very good ideas on what I'm getting for Christmas this year, but I'll let you guys know once I have have the goodies.  I'm expecting mostly computer stuff, though.

I've been in a good mood lately, happy and stuff.  I'd say it has nothing to do with the holidays, but they are a small part of it.  I'll tell you guys about it, later.

Had a strange dream last night.  There was some sort of Celtic club I went to.  I don't know why.  I had my guitar with me, and I was playing that some.  So, the meeting ending, and I was walking out to the parking lot and I realized my guitar case was empty.  I run back inside, but can't even find the room at the...lobrary like building...that we were meeting in.  After much running around, I finally find a quite short librarian girl to help me out.  (She had a weird,  nasal voice.)  She suggested going and checking out one place it might have gotten to: some highschool kid's room in the basement of the building.  He had...maybe ten guitar about his room, including...a resonator guitar, a few electrics, a 12 string classical, a classical with three strings tuned the same as a Shamisen, at least 2 acoustic bass guitars, and some sort of sitar sounding guitar that he was holding as he lay on his bed.  He didn't have my guitar.  I never found it, in the dream.  That was kinda sad...

Why do I start having more sad/distressing dreams when I've been in a better mood in my waking life, lately?  Odd.

Subject:Thanks all and Merry Christmas

I just wanted to thank everyone that stopped by and watched me play guitar on Livestream.  I had a great time, even if the procaster software sucks (on the plus side, when I switched to the "web ap" it worked flawlessly...go figure).  I'm going to have to do that again, sometime.

I'm thinking I'll try to broadcast monthly, probably the the first monday of every month, although I am not promising anything, now.  I'll probably do it more often than that for the first few months.  If anyone missed it that was really hoping to see it, comment and I can try to do it again a time you can watch; would be no trouble, not like sitting around and playing guitar isn't something I do occasionally, anyway.

Also, Christmas is fast approaching, so Merry Christmas everyone, and Happy New Year.  *gives everyone a big hug who wants one*

So, I finally made my livestream channel, and I'm going to be testing it out tonight.  I think I'll just play guitar.  I'll do requests, although the songs I know are pretty random...so maybe requests by composer?  :p Here's the link: http://www.livestream.com/kagejim I'm not sure when I'm going to actually start and end...I'll edit this post when I know, I guess.  Thinking of starting in 1 or 2 hours...depends on stuff.  Also on things.  :P

I'll be on AIM/yahoo, so you can just ask me when I'm starting on those, too.

EDIT

I'm starting in a couple minutes, now.

Subject:Epica Tickets
Security:Public

So, I ordered my tickets for the Epica concert on February 4th on Enter The Vault. Yay!

But, there was some issues... I tried to order them and they said there was an error and the credit card didn't go through...so I tried with a different card. Everything is good, I get a confirmation email in about 10 seconds. Awesome.

Maybe an hour later, I got a call from Enter The Vault, to confirm that I ordered the tickets (since they were getting very close to running out of tickets), and I realized that they actually took BOTH orders I made. Meaning I ordered 4 tickets, according to them. I only ever got one confirmation email.

Anyway, they couldn't cancel the one order without canceling ALL the orders, which would be bad. Actually, to be honest, it sounded like he couldn't do it, and he was the sole employee of Enter The Vault. I'm guessing that's not true, but it sounded like it, the way he was talking...and he clearly knew all the bands and what they sounded like, etc. So, he asks me if I order tickets with them often, if I think I will again soon, etc. I say, yeah, I assume so. He says, send me an email when there's a concert you want to go to, and I'll send you a couple free tickets of equal or greater value. He then mentions Kamelot is coming in September, if I like them. Those are $30 tickets (these are $22). So, that actually is good for me. lol
